Accounting Strategist

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our Finance team as an Accounting Strategist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex accounting processes, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, and supporting multi-country operations. You will play a key role in the accuracy of our financial reporting, collaborating closely with external advisors and internal teams, and providing essential insights to support decision-making.

This position is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise and analytical skills, who is ready to take ownership of end-to-end accounting processes, but without direct team leadership responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities


  • Monthly Closings: Ensure accurate and timely execution of monthly and quarterly closing processes across multiple entities. Managing cost centers and compiling consolidated reports for all companies in the group for strategic analysis.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review P&L and balance sheet reports at individual and consolidated levels, recording provisions to ensure that both income and expenses are recorded in accordance with the concept of revenue recognition.


  • Compliance & Standards: Apply International Accounting Standards (IFRS) and support compliance with tax regulations in different countries.



  • Audit & Controls: Collaborate in the preparation of audit deliverables, ensuring accuracy of financial statements and robustness of processes as well as being responsible for carrying out the external audit process in each of the countries.



  • Cross-country Operations: Support accounting processes across Argentina, USA, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia.



  • Tax & Fiscal Planning: Assist in the preparation and review of tax calculations and contribute to fiscal planning strategies for all companies in the group.



  • External Advisors: Act as a point of contact for auditors and external consultants, ensuring information is accurate and delivered on time.



  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in accounting operations, reporting, and compliance workflows through automation and AI integration in processes.




Minimum requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, ideally in multi-entity or multinational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS; knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
  • Proven experience in monthly closings, consolidations, and audits.
  • Background in tax compliance and fiscal planning across multiple countries.
  • Advanced skills in Google Sheets and Excel; knowledge of NetSuite by Oracle is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Languages: Advanced English desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and adapt to a dynamic environment.
