Summary of Position

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Lead Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of high-impact software solutions while leading and mentoring a talented technical team.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on coding expertise with proven experience in technical leadership, strong Information Systems (IS) skills for solution design and integration, and the ability to align technical execution with business strategy.

A key differentiator for this role is a deep, practical mastery of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Replit, v0, and similar platforms. Your ability to leverage, integrate, and inspire the use of these tools across the team will be a deciding factor in our selection process.

You will work with modern technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, React-Native, AWS, SQL, NoSQL, and serverless architectures on AWS, while fostering a culture where AI tools are standard practice for development efficiency, creativity, and innovation.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Act as a champion for AI-assisted development practices, ensuring your team not only uses these tools effectively but also becomes advocates within the broader organization.
  • Provide technical guidance in TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, and React, demonstrating how AI tools can accelerate and enhance problem-solving, debugging, testing, and code generation.

Technical Strategy

  • Define and oversee the technical roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency in all solutions.
  • Drive the strategic adoption and continuous improvement of AI coding assistants, embedding them into the engineering workflow as a core competency.
  • Establish best practices for integrating AI outputs into production-quality software.

Architecture & Development

  • Design, code, review, and optimize software solutions, applying Information Systems principles for robust architecture and integration.
  • Incorporate AI-assisted approaches for rapid prototyping, refactoring, documentation, and unit testing, while ensuring high-quality code standards.
  • Manage SQL and NoSQL database architecture for performance and reliability.
  • Architect and deploy solutions on AWS leveraging serverless architectures.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with Product, Data, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet business goals.
  • Oversee task prioritization, sprint planning, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to security standards.

  • Is fluent in using AI-assisted development tools and can teach and inspire others to do the same.
  • Skilled in applying Information Systems methodologies for efficient development and system integration.
  • Excels in problem-solving and can architect scalable, elegant solutions in the TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, and React ecosystem on AWS.
  • Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Stays ahead of technology trends, particularly in AI-assisted software engineering.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 2+ years in a leadership or technical management role.
  • Expertise in:
  1. TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, React-Native
  2. AWS, SQL, NoSQL
  3. Serverless architectures on AWS
  • Proven experience applying Information Systems principles in software design and development.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Replit, v0, or similar).
  • Strong background in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Scrumban, Kanban, CPM, Lean).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
